ICPC Declares Civil Servant Wanted over N50m Employment Scam

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), has declared a civil servant in the Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF), Mrs. Grace Nkoyo Nwauzor, wanted for defrauding innocent job seekers of N50 million.

Nwauzor, an indigene of Aboh, Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State, allegedly duped many people that were looking for employment into the Federal Civil Service by promising to give them employment into the service.

Preliminary findings by ICPC have revealed that Nwauzor, who is on Grade Level 12 under the Career Management Section in OHCSF and a doctorate degree holder, ran an employment scam where her victims were made to pay huge sums of money for jobs which they never got.

Further findings by the Commission show that she charged her victims between N250, 000 and N500, 000 per employment. The Commission also discovered that the 46-year old Nwauzor, had allegedly duped over 200 people through her job scam which began in 2012.

Some of the victims having waited endlessly for the promised jobs decided to petition ICPC which triggered investigation into the scam perpetrated by Nwauzor.

Mrs. Grace Nwauzor is currently at large and Commission hereby declares her wanted for fraud. Nwauzor who is dark in complexion was last resident in Durumi District, Apo, Abuja.
