Firm lauds ICPC over recovery of N39m paid for fake land

An Abuja-based firm, Tobel Technologies Limited has commended the Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) for helping it recover N39 million it paid for a fake land.

Tobel’s commendation was conveyed in a letter signed by its Managing Director, Mr Tobias Obiechina, addressed to the chairman of ICPC and made available to newsmen in Abuja on Sunday.

Obiechina, in the letter, said ICPC officials that investigated the case exhibited a high level of diligence and honesty.

“I wish to extend my sincere gratitude and appreciation to your noble commission on the professional manner you handled my petition over a fraudulent sale of Plot 2823 in Asokoro District, Abuja.

“It is my pleasure to inform you that the total sum of N39 million which I paid for the purchase of the fake land has been fully recovered and returned to me.

“This result was achieved because of the professionalism, dexterity, incorruptibility and timeliness exhibited by your officers that investigated the case,’’ he said.

He prayed God to grant ICPC more wisdom to continue to discharge its duties with honesty as it would help in laundering the image of the nation.
