The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has been commended by Mr. Anifowoshe Shola, Director of Top-Drug Pharmaceutical Ltd for intervening and recovering for him the sum of N6million.
Mr. Shola had written a petition to ICPC seeking the refund of his N6m when he discovered that the plot of land he acquired from one Mr. Michael Gini Sabo through an agent, Mr. Thomas Haruna was a sham.
Upon receiving the petition, ICPC’s prompt intervention led to the recovery of the money after investigation confirmed the allegations the petitioner had raised in the petition.
In an acknowledgement letter dated June 27th, 2016, Mr. Shola lauded the Commission for its timely treatment of the petition and prompt recovery of his money.
He said “I Pharm. Anifowoshe Shola, … want to use this medium to say a very big thank you to your organization I.C.P.C on the recovery of my Six Million Naira (N6000,000) from Mr. Sabo Gini Michael of Lugbe, Layout Abuja.’’
Mr. Shola added that by this singular act, the Commission has demonstrated in clear terms that “there is still justice for the common man.’’
ICPC Chairman commended the team of operatives for the professionalism and diligence with which it carried out the task.
