The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission’s resolve to provide redress to vulnerable Nigerians has continued to give succour as a retiree whose pension was stopped for over 6 years has begun enjoying her money through the intervention of the Commission.
The petitioner, Adenrele Agbeke Kehinde had forwarded a petition to the Commission alleging that her Federal Share Pension was abruptly stopped in June 2010 by the Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD).
ICPC’s intervention in the matter led to the payment of pension arrears of N551, 049.05 to Mrs. Kehinde in December 2016, and subsequent regularisation of her pension payments.
In her letter of appreciation, Mrs. Adenrele, thanked ICPC for ‘bringing smile to the faces of the poor people who have nobody to fight for them’.
