The Resident Anti-Corruption Commissioner (RACC) of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) in Katsina and Zamfara States, Mr. Lodam S. Samuel, has solicited the support and collaborative effort of the Katsina State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission (PCACC) to strengthen anti-corruption efforts in the region.
Mr. Lodam made this known during a courtesy visit to the PCACC office in Katsina, where he emphasized the value of strategic cooperation among anti-corruption agencies as a crucial tool in addressing systemic challenges.
“Collective resolve remains the only viable option in curtailing the rate of corruption in our societies,” Mr. Samuel stated. He further encouraged the leadership of PCACC to take advantage of the training opportunities available at the Anti-Corruption Academy of Nigeria (ACAN), ICPC’s training arm located in Keffi, Nasarawa State, to boost staff capacity and institutional performance.
In his response, the Executive Chairman of the Katsina State PCACC, Hon. Justice Lawal Garba Abdulkadir (RTD), commended the ongoing collaboration between the two agencies. He expressed PCACC’s readiness to work with ICPC and media partners to address corruption-related challenges in the state and beyond.
Justice Abdulkadir noted that anti-corruption and enforcement agencies across Nigeria are united in their mission to address criminal and unethical conduct. He also praised the ICPC’s persistent efforts to promote public participation and awareness as key drivers of accountability and progress.
The visit concluded with mutual commitments to deepen cooperation, share resources, and support each other’s mandates in advancing good governance and ethical standards.
