ICPC Ranks 7th Nationwide, Wins Five Awards at SERVICOM End-of-Year Ceremony

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has recorded a landmark achievement in public service delivery, emerging as one of the top-performing federal institutions at the SERVICOM Office of the Presidency End-of-Year Awards and Recognition Ceremony held on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at Merit House, Maitama, Abuja.

At the ceremony, the Commission secured five prestigious awards and was ranked 7th overall among 108 Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs), with an impressive score of 84 percent. The feat represents ICPC’s strongest showing since the establishment of its SERVICOM Unit and highlights a significant leap in institutional efficiency and citizen-focused service delivery.

In recognition of its consistent performance, the ICPC received the Special Recognition Award for “consistently demonstrating exceptional performance, efficiency, and effectiveness in service delivery,” accompanied by the citation #SERVICOMWORKSHERE. The award reflects the Commission’s deliberate efforts to make its services more accessible, transparent, and responsive to the needs of Nigerians.

Meanwhile, for the second year running, the ICPC Chairman, Dr. Musa Adamu Aliyu, SAN, was also honoured with a personal award for his “support and commitment to citizen-centered service delivery.” The recognition underscores his leadership in repositioning the Commission as a service-driven institution while sustaining strong anti-corruption enforcement.

Further consolidating its gains, the ICPC Reforms and SERVICOM Unit emerged as the 3rd Best Performing Parastatal SERVICOM Unit (PSU) in the highly competitive Team A category, marking a first-time achievement for the Unit.

Individual officers of the Commission also received national recognition. The ICPC Nodal Officer, Mrs. Azuka C. Ogugua, was awarded 2nd Best Performing Nodal Officer PSU (Team A), while Ms. Ani Chinenye Thelma, Service Improvement Officer, was named Best Performing Desk Officer PSU (Team A).

The multiple honours signal a growing culture of accountability, professionalism, and citizen-first service within the Commission, reinforcing the link between effective anti-corruption work and quality public service delivery.

Organised by the SERVICOM Office of the Presidency, the awards were presented by the Acting National Coordinator, Mr. Anthony Oshin, and the Head of Operations, Mrs. Ngozi Akinbodewa.

The ICPC reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining the momentum and deepening reforms that ensure Nigerians continue to benefit from transparent, efficient, and responsive governance in the fight against corruption.
