The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), Adamawa State Command, on Wednesday received a delegation from the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in a courtesy visit aimed at deepening inter-agency collaboration.
The FRSC team, led by the Sector Commander, Ibrahim Abubakar Sadique, was received at the Commission’s Yola office by the Resident Anti-Corruption Commissioner, Okoro James Ulu, alongside senior officers of the ICPC. Formal introductions were conducted by Mr Benjamin Francis, the Commission’s Public Education Officer.
Speaking during the visit, Sector Commander Sadique expressed gratitude for the warm reception and reaffirmed the FRSC’s dedication to strengthening ties with the ICPC in critical areas such as public enlightenment, discipline, and national development.
In his remarks, Resident Anti-Corruption Commissioner Okoro James Ulu characterised the partnership as longstanding, cordial, and productive, recalling previous joint operations on national assignments.
He underscored the importance of preventive measures in tackling road crashes and corruption-related offences, stressing that public cooperation and timely information sharing remain vital to achieving institutional goals.
“The fight against corruption cannot succeed without the support and collaboration of sister agencies and the public,” Mr Ulu stated. He expressed optimism that the existing synergy between the two organisations would continue to grow stronger.
As part of the visit, both agencies exchanged Information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials – a symbolic gesture reflecting their shared commitment to public sensitisation and ethical conduct. Group photographs were taken to commemorate the occasion.
A total of 13 FRSC officers, alongside officers of the ICPC Adamawa State Command, attended the courtesy visit, which concluded on a cordial note with renewed pledges to sustain inter-agency cooperation and enhance service delivery to the Nigerian public.
