Instilling Good Values in Children is as Important as Giving Them Good Education – ICPC

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has charged parents and guardians to ensure that their children/wards are taught good values saying that such was as important as giving them quality education.

Spokesperson for ICPC, Mrs. Rasheedat A. Okoduwa, mni gave the charge on behalf of the Commission at the graduation ceremony of Titsall Global Schools, Wuse 2, Abuja recently.

Okoduwa, who also heads the Public Enlightenment Department of the Commission, was at the event to honour a grade 4 pupil of the school, Master Chidera Nwankwo who had participated as ‘Guest Presenter’ on Corruption Must Go! ICPC’s weekly television programme.

Okoduwa encouraged parents to ensure that their children were well grounded in values such as integrity, honesty and compliance to established rules and regulations.

She called on everyone to contribute their quota to building a better world for the next generation by being a part of the anti-corruption crusade.

“We are in this beautiful school; how wonderful it will be if this kind of facility is available to every Nigerian child. It is their right! Let us all say no to corruption. When you are confronted by corruption, please call 0800-CALL ICPC. Call to report any act of corruption and we will get to it,” she concluded.
