To rid Nigeria of corruption is not a task for one man nor one agency. Every lover of peace, justice, righteousness and development must join forces with the front line agencies in this war,if we must win it for good and for the good of generations unborn. Am determined to put in my own quota of the effort to get the task done;i do not know about you.

  9. Ahmad Sulaiman says:

As Nigerians, we should always be mindful of the fact that,NOBODY on this earth will come down to fix our country for us , therefore, what we make of it is what is going to be.We must stand up and fight our greatest enemy CORRUPTION so as to secure our future and that of our great grand children, and the time is NOW or NEVER.

  10. Nsikak Akang says:

    My greatest shock!

CORRUPTION is the most GREATEST KILLER of humanity. but Governments, world and national bodies as well as individuals especially, the rich have been paying less attention to it. International Organisations and Government are ready to sponsor or finance war, hiv, polio, etc with no concern to the ALMIGHTY CORRUPTION, which often seem to be the root cause of war, hiv, polio, cancer, housing, road, etc.

Sometime huge compensations are paid to political supporters but little or nothing to Anti-graft bodies not to even a mention of whistle blowers. We should note that every passing day, the rich are getting fewer while the poor are increasing. that mean that the poor who are the majority will soon take over the world. (the use of poor here means low wage earners)
If with serious determination, the majority pursue this cancerworm even the with its carriers, that means that we will soon be free. but if the majority allows the rich who are the minority to dominate, intimidate, cart away, deceive, carry tugs and weapons and overcome, then that means that one day sovereignty will change its course to the rich ruling over certain geagraphical segment and so on.

    Say NO

to corruption where ever you are, even if it means sacrificing yourself. so that the Almighty will use enough blood to answer the cries of the people. you can serve the life to your relation if you report Corrupt Acts to Responsible and Concerned Bodies.

The bodies should also sign their death warrants and be serious for once, otherwise no success! only salary and mere falacy. Governments who announce change and projects daily should note that no success will be acheive excepts honesty nad follow ups are fully applied.
    Lets face the facts.
Sorry and thanks for your audience

  54. ebute says:

I still believe there is hope for dis gr8t country nigeria… corruption is a canker which we must eliminate, n it starts wit u n i…

  55. Anthonia Iroegbu says:

Do the ICPC punish offenders of any corrupt offences especially those of the Nigeria Police? It is disheartening to know the high rate of corruption exhibited by the Nigeria Police. They cause accidents and artificial hold up on the roads and highways where they are taking N20.00 and N50.00 from commuters. And should you refuse to bring the money, they charge you with a grievous traffic offence and take you to their office where you will pay to the Traffic Division up to N50,000.00.
Sometimes when one is going to work to meet the office as early as possible, you end up going late because the NP had to quarrel with those people who feel it is their right not to give them money since they are being paid. What they will simply do is to stop all vehicles and overlook all other vehicles lined up to be passed by them. in such circumstances armed robbers could strike and make away through any slightest opening.
And the NP intimidates innocent citizens because they feel that they are law enforcement agents. If you go to the stations and see the high level of corruption there you will marvel. You can make reference with my case with the NP on 16th January, 2004 at the Ogui Police station here in Enugu. They don’t want to hear your own side of the story, all they are interested in is to humiliate you and violate your fundamental human right.
Are they not being paid well? The government should review salaries of workers. They should make sure it goes beyond civil servants. Lets know where the problem is coming from.
When you go to traffic divisions of the NP, you will be hearing such things like, where is your driving licence? When you provide it, where is your Ogbemudia ( fire extinguisher ), where is your spare tyre? Where is your ESWAMA basket…?
I will like to be a Volunteer Force with the ICPC and bring to them the numbers of offenders through a toll free line. When my case is established with the NP, and we know who is right, then I will know the next line of action.
The NP is not the only corrupt people. I will communicate to you in due time.
    Thanks.
    Anthonia Iroegbu..
