63 Upper Benue River Basin Retirees get N7m Benefits through ICPC`s Intervention

Sixty Three downsized Civil Servants of Upper River Basin Development Authority have received the payment of their N7, 521,860 being the shortfall or underpayment of their benefits when they were disengaged from the Civil Service.

The ICPC intervened on their behalf when they submitted a petition to the Commission in August 2012 against the Bureau of Public Service Reforms for the non-payment of their benefits since 2007.

The payment of the benefits was confirmed when Mr Usman Namtari, the lead petitioner put a call to the Commission`s Financial Investigation Unit to express their appreciation.
