The Christian Fellowship of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has distributed relief items to some under-privileged persons in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
Members of the fellowship expressed their love borne out of the spirit of the Christmas season at the Internally Displaced Persons’ (IDPs) Camp located in Area 1, Garki, and the Refugee and Orphans House at Kubwa respectively.
The team of officers who paid the visits on behalf of the fellowship distributed items including bags of rice, tissue paper, copies of the Holy Bible, clothings for adults and children amongst others.
Receiving the items on behalf of other IDPs, Chairman of the Area 1 IDPs, Ibrahim Ahmed, and the Women Leader, Liyatu Ayuba, respectively expressed their gratitude for the love and compassion extended to them by the representatives of the ICPC fellowship and the Commission in general.
At the Kubwa Refugees and Orphans House, similar items were also donated in addition to 25,000 Naira cash. The proprietor of the House, Nkennis Ajuyah, who was overjoyed with the gifts and could not hide her gratitude for the gesture, praised the team effusively and also brought out the children of the House for a warm interaction with members of the team.
