Give Good Account of your Commission – Secretary tells prospective ICPC armed squad

The Secretary to the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), Mr. Clifford Okwudiri Oparaodu, DSSR, has urged members of the Commission’s prospective Armed Squad to uphold discipline as they prepare for an upcoming arms training exercise.

Addressing the squad on Thursday at a pre-departure briefing held in the Commission’s auditorium in Abuja, Mr. Oparaodu emphasized the importance of representing the ICPC positively.

He said, “Give a good account of the ICPC while you are there because you are ambassadors of the Commission; the way they see you is how they will see ICPC.”

The ICPC Secretary went on to say that the training presents a unique opportunity for professional and personal development, encouraging the officers to approach it with dedication and make the most of this experience to enhance the ICPC’s enforcement capabilities.

In his closing remarks, Deputy Director of Administration and Human Resources, Mr. Sampson Iroka, expressed gratitude to the Honorable Chairman and the ICPC Management for facilitating the training. He advised the officers to maintain high standards of conduct throughout the program and wished them success in the training.

The training is scheduled to take place from November 1 to December 3, 2024, at the 177 Guard Battalion of the Nigerian Army in Keffi, Nasarawa State.
