Mr Olu Aina was born on 24th October 1940 in Otan-Ayegbaju, Osun State. He attended Ibadan Polytechnic between 1965 and 1966, Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, USA 1972-1974, Northern Michigan University Marquette, USA in 1974, University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, USA 1975-1977, Manchester Business School, University of Manchester, UK in 1981 and International Centre for Technical Education, Huddersfield University, UK between 1986 to 1987, where he obtained B.Sc (Hons), M.Sc and Ph.D respectively.
He started his working experience in between 1950 to 1956 as a Primary and Secondary School Teacher; he was a Research/Graduate Assistant at Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, USA 1972-1973, Northern Michigan University, Marquettee 1973-1974, and University of Dakota, Grand Forks 1975-1976.
Prof Aina was a lecturer at the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria between 1989 and 1999, he was also a Professor of Vocational and Technical Education Ahmadu Bello University Zaria from 1989 to 1992 and Chief Executive Officer, National Business and Technical Examination Board (NABTEB) between 1992 and 2002.
Before his confirmation as Executive Member of the ICPC in November 2011, Prof Olu Aina has supervised more than 45 thesis ranging from Masters to Doctorate levels. He has also published 26 journal Articles, presented 87 Conference and Seminar Papers and attended many international conferences around the globe.
